Behind The Lens - My Journey
My passion for filmmaking began at a young age, creating YouTube videos and experimenting with digital content long before I considered it as a career. It was during my GCSE Media Studies course that I discovered a genuine love for visual storytelling. Inspired by my teacher, Mr. Mottershead, I continued studying Film and Media at sixth form, achieving A grades in both subjects before progressing to Nottingham Trent University to study Filmmaking.
Graduating with First Class Honours, I gained hands-on experience with industry-standard production techniques, professional cinema cameras and collaborative film sets. As Producer of the award-winning short film Will Smith's Wicked Band, I managed production logistics, location scouting, casting and on-set operations, developing a strong understanding of both the creative and technical sides of filmmaking.
Since graduating, I've worked across a range of industries, using film to help brands tell compelling stories. I began as a Social Media Videographer for Offley Place, producing over 150 short-form films that significantly grew the venue's online presence. I later joined GMG Motor Group as Senior Videographer, creating cinematic content for automotive brands including Kia, BYD and Mazda, as well as covering major vehicle launch events.
Most recently, as Head of Digital Media at Waran's Fine Art in London, I led the gallery's digital marketing strategy, growing its Instagram audience by over 100% through creative campaigns and high-quality visual content. Working alongside acclaimed artists such as BBC-featured painter Will Teather, I produced exhibition trailers, artist interviews and promotional films that strengthened the gallery's digital presence and audience engagement.
Today, I combine cinematic filmmaking with strategic digital marketing to create content that not only looks beautiful but tells meaningful stories, connects with audiences and delivers measurable results.
